If you’ve visited before then hopefully you’ve noticed there’s a new layout here at The Dollhouse. I’m currently working on transferring all the old content and making it look pretty so as you’re browsing around, please don’t pay too much attention to the broken bits! As an example, currently The Show has the episodes in the wrong order and linking to the wrong things, your patience is appreciated whilst I get things sorted!

The new season of Dollhouse is fast approaching – though not fast enough for its legion of fans (we still have to wait until next Friday, September 25). So we had a ton of questions for sometimes tight-lipped creator Joss Whedon when we spoke with him during a press conference call yesterday. Though he didn’t spill everything, we did learn about what’s in store for the characters this season, where the central story arc is going, and what roles newcomers Summer Glau and Ray Wise will play – heck, we even got Joss to talk a little bit about Cabin in the Woods. Read the interview below, and look for our review of the season premiere next week.

When Joss Whedon wrote and filmed the post-apocalyptic Dollhouse episode “Epitaph One,” it was entirely possible it would be the final episode in the Fox series.
So when Fox picked up a second season of the sci-fi series, Whedon instead intended to use the “Epitaph” storyline as the jumping-off point to drive the new season’s arcs. But the episode ended up only on the season-one DVD/Blu-ray set (it also screened at Comic-Con), complicating any plans to use it to inform the second season’s stories.
Nevertheless, Fran Kranz—who plays doll programmer Topher—confirmed that producers still plan to go there, even though there’s a part of the audience who only watched the episodes that aired on Fox last season. (Possible spoilers ahead.)

Previously unseen episode Epitaph One, the one that comes after the season finale, will be aired on the Sci Fi Channel in the UK on August 11th at 9pm. More details are available on their website but please note that it may contain spoilers!
Whilst I’m from the UK, I’ll actually be in the USA on my honeymoon then so I guess I’ll be waiting for the DVD!

New writers Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters are already at work on scripts for Dollhouse’s second season.
Michele Fazekas, the Williamsville native who co-created “Reaper,” joined the staff of Fox’s “Dollhouse” with writing partner Tara Butters after the cancellation of her CW series. In an e-mail, Fazekas wrote that she and Butters signed a new overall deal with 20th Century Fox Studios and are consulting producers on “Dollhouse” while they develop new projects.
“Things are going great. We are humongous Joss Whedon fans so it’s very cool to be working with him,” she said.
Whedon, who is best-known as the creator of “Buffy: The Vampire Slayer,” is the creator of “Dollhouse,” which got a surprising reprieve from Fox despite its low ratings. Source
Can’t wait to see where the team takes us!

Fansite LA Dollhouse reports that Dollhouse has now been picked up in New Zealand. The channel hasn’t yet been confirmed but it’s likely to be on C4.
The Dolls will also be airing this winter in France on M6. On top of that, Australian channel FOX8 has confirmed after just two episodes that they will be airing season two. Yay Dollhouse!
